Panel seeks faster uranium output for nuclear expansion

A parliamentary panel has urged faster uranium production and strategic reserves to support India’s nuclear expansion plans. The committee asked the Department of Atomic Energy to speed up mining projects in Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, warning that delays could increase dependence on imported fuel as NPCIL expands nuclear capacity.
